When You're Strange: Jim Morrison Great American Poet?
People are indeed strange in that we can't seem to resist adopting elitist tendencies. I find it difficult getting behind any group that imposes the confines of strict rules upon creativity. It bothers me that without academia approval, Jim isn't allowed membership into the club.
I never liked the idea of looking to someone else to tell us what is legitimate art. I tend to think that like all art, the definition of poetry and our enjoyment of such, is up to each and every one of us.
